The region's most wanted JI terrorist, Noordin Mohd Top is killed in Indonesia much to the relief of regional governments and the people at large. But a certain Malaysian minister seems to have a more "humane", sympathetic view that the notorious mastermind bomber could have been rehabilitated! Since when do terrorists and plotters of mass destruction get treated differently from other criminals? What are penal codes for then?
Such a simplistic view could only come from a warped-minded person who in recent weeks did the unthinkable of meeting villagers/protestors who paraded the head of a cow and stompped on it in protest of an Indian temple that was to have been allowed to be erected in their community. Whilst condemning the act he was again sympathetic towards the culprits whom he felt had no other channels to air/voice their grievance hence with a stroke gave such action creditability. Such display of idiocy is not only an embarrassment to himself and the government but also to the people of the country who elected him. What a shame!
